Privacy policy
hvacfaults.com is a reference site. There are no accounts, no comment forms, and no newsletter — we never ask for your name, email, or address, and we never sell personal data. What little data exists comes from the two categories below.
1 · Analytics
We use two analytics tools to understand which pages help people and which confuse them:

Both tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. You can block them with any content blocker, your browser's tracking protection, or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on — the site works identically either way.
2 · Affiliate links
Some part and repair-quote links are affiliate links (Amazon Associates, CJ Affiliate for Angi, eBay Partner Network, HVACDirect, and similar programs). As an Amazon Associate, hvacfaults.com earns from qualifying purchases. If you click one, the destination network sets a cookie in your browser so the retailer knows the visit came from us; if you buy or request a quote, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Those networks' own privacy policies govern that data — we never see who you are, what you bought, or where you live. Affiliate relationships never change which parts we list; parts come from the official service manuals.
3 · Server logs
The site is served by Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived operational logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent) for security and performance, as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. We do not run our own servers and keep no visitor logs of our own.
4 · Your choices
Block cookies or scripts freely — every page on this site works without them. If you are in a region with data-protection rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar) and want to exercise them against the providers above, their linked policies include the contact routes. 5 · Changes
If our data practices change, this page changes with them, along with the effective date in the header above. Substantive changes will never be retroactive.
This site is designed to need as little of your data as possible: the fault-code reference works with every cookie blocked.
